Salvador Dalí: Urban Dreams

The exhibition is the result of a joint labor between the Government of Mexico City, Carlos Slim Foundation, and Soumaya Museum, and moves among a visual itinerary of the most frequently used materials of the author that is part of his obsessions, with an exhibition of 20 works; among them are: Profile of Time, Christ of Saint John of the Cross, Lady Godiva with Butterflies, Alice in Wonderland, The Persistence of Memory, and Anthropomorphic Cabinet, to name a few.

The great influence of masters such as Yves Tanguy, Max Ernst or Joan Miró, as well as texts about psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud, and André Breton’s automatism, converged in the creation of his Paranoid-Critical method.
